Matt started his career at the age of 17 in London as a runner in a small production company whilst attending University of the Arts in London. Whilst at University he realised that he wanted to be a film editor.

Then at the age of 20 he edited the winner of the ‘Best Film’ Award at the BAFTA Graduate Ceremony.

He then started to get noticed and started receiving multiple awards within the industry whilst freelancing around Soho. He worked his way up from Edit Assistant, Assistant Editor and then to full Editor working with the whose who of the British Film Industry.

Matt also founded the boutique post house ‘Film Cut Post Production’ in London in 2011. Then opening the second location in 2013 in his birth town of Edinburgh bringing the London post production model to the capital city. He lives and works in both cities.
